vod pod

today i found a cool little toy – another cool widget for my blog for sharing videos. check it out on the right bottom corner of my page.

vodpod gives you a bookmarklet kinda of thing that lets you bookmark videos that you like. once you bookmark them, you can add a comment and it shows up on your vodpod. you can embed your vodpod in your blog, make it a separate page etc…

this is sort of cool because

• if you have noticed, i have more videos shared in my blog than real useful posts.
• now i do not have to write a lame blog article that says “nice video” and add a bunch of videos in it.

the flipside is that folks who read my blog through rss do not get to see my cool videos. knowing some of the folks who subscribe to my feed, i would think that it would be a good thing.  if they really need to see my shared videos, they can subscribe to its feed.

lets see how it works. definitely a very cool toy.
